When the design has been finalized the construction can begin.

We can use many different materials when making a marionette, each having their own strengths. The design (and sometimes the budget) of the marionette will often dictate the preferable material.

Our favourite material for marionettes however is wood.

In our opinion wood makes the best marionettes. Carved wooden marionettes have a good weight and balance, are strong, and although carving takes a long time it gives you a great, traditional looking end product.
